omaha holdempoker is a variation of texas holdempoker. Each poker player is dealt four cards face down and five community cards are dealt face up . omaha holdempoker is a high low split pot game. The high and low hands win splitting the pot.
Each poker player uses two cards from his or her hand and three communal cards. In omaha holdempoker , there are more combinations and it gives players more confidence and the pots are generally larger than in texas holdempoker.
Blind bets are made by two poker players who are to the left of the dealer as in texas holdempoker. The betting rounds are the same as in texas holdempoker four rounds and the fifth round known as the river.
In the beginning determining the best hand is confusing because of the high low potential. High and low winners split the pot.
Omaha holdempoker can be played high or low. If playing omaha high the focus is on high cards. If playing online , an inexpensive tournament is the best place to get started.
