Seven card stud is the most popular of the stud poker games. Three cards are dealt face down and four cards are exposed. There are five rounds of betting and poker players need to be alert.
betting in seven card stud
Each player posts an ante and seeds the pot. The poker player the lowest exposed card is called the bring in and they make a predetermined bet.The player to the left of the bring in has three options : raise , call or fold. If the bring in folds , the player to his left has the same options. When a player raises to a full bet , subsequent players must fold call or raise again. A full bet is like this in a $20 -40 game a full bet is $20 an ante amount is $3 – 5$ . Once betting is stable , a second card is dealt face up and another round of betting occurs and it’s in increments of full bets. The poker player with the highest board cards face up goes first. That player may check , make a big bet if they have a pair showing
Raising
Casinos allow ther to four raises per betting round , if someone contests the pot there is no limit to the number of raises permitted. In stud poker , the order of betting is determined by the cards showing on the board and vary from round to round. The lowest card is the bring in and the highest card acts first and can check or bet.
Double bets are on fifth street . The last round is known as seventh street. The player who acts first on sixth street acts first on seventh street. The showdown is after seventh street and the best five card hans from the seven cards wins.
